Hello Kyle,

The pound of bricks would fall faster. The reason the pound of bricks would
fall faster has to do with the effect of air resistance and aerodynamics. The
bricks are more compact and dense and would fall faster than the pound of
feathers. The pound of feathers would have so much more surface area and lower
density that they would fall much slower than the bricks.

Now, if you take out the effect of air resistance, such as by conducting
this experiment in a perfect vacuum, you would then observe the two to fall at
the same speed. Without the air there to provide resistance to the falling
objects, the 1 pound of each material would fall equally fast and you would
observe them hitting the floor at the same time (if released at the same
time...)

I hope this answers your question Kyle. Thanks for the submission...
