Can lasers be used to determine the color of an object? lasers
can be used to determine shape of objects such as landforms and
buildings, so is it possible to calibrate laser light to reflect
back only certain colors? For example, a object is painted half
black and half red. Would one be able to send laser lights
toward the object, ensuring that only the red reflects back while
the black absorbs the light? Would this have to be fequency
specific (absolute color) or would one be able to measure a range
of frequencies (shades of color)? Thanks for your insight!
