According to the Newtonian depiction of gravity as a force, it is fairly
simple. The massive object pulls the object towards it. However, under
General Relativity (at least as I understand it) gravity exerts no force,
but instead, the presence of a massive object causes space to curve. I know
that this curvature in space can distort the motion of an object, but how
can it start the object moving?
