I have set up an experiment with 3 sets of plants: under a plant light 24 hrs. a day, 12 hrs.light-12hrs.dark, and darkness 24 hr. a day. I have proposed that the plants do not need darkness. I still think I'm correct in my hypothesis, however, won't the products of the light reaction build up with constant light and therefore, won't plants with SOME darkness grow better? Can both dark and light reaction occur at the same time?
