I am not sure how the structure of antibodies first became known and who
discovered it? Did he/she/they use X-ray crystallography? I am lead to
believe that this is quite a famous experiment however looking up numerous
text books and immunological web sites, there is no mention of it. I wish
to know as I am studying for a BSc in Immunology and Biochemistry and I
think it would be a bit embaressing if I didn't know the scientific
heritage of the field of science in which I study.
