Hi Chantel,

I am not exactly sure of what you mean by a "pellicle". If you mean a film 
on the surface of the culture, then I can help you.Such biofilms contain 
cells encased in a slimy spread, created by secreted polysaccharides. I am 
not aware of strains that form biofilms as opposed to strains that don't.
