We store our Christmas ornaments in our garage attic here in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Some years when we take down the boxes to decorate our tree, many of the thin glass bulbs are broken inside their boxes. There is no sign of box crushing. These are standard 3" bulbs with non-airtight tops. To settle a bet, are these bulbs more likely breaking from the -20 degree F temps, or from the +110 degree F temps in our attic? Thank You
