Subject: How do Geological Overthrusts figure into Evolution?

If the Strata were laid down over a long period of Time, as the Evolutionary 
theory suggests(Emphasis on Theory) Than why do such overthrusts as the Heart 
Mountains, Appalachians, Matterhorn, etc. exist(Where 'Older' strata are 
superimposed over 'Younger' strata)? I have heard the Theory where mountains 
move many miles to arrive at a strange position, but that is far fetched and 
incredibly weak for the intelligences of the ardet Darwinian Evolutionists and 
Neo-Darwinists.
