Yes, if enough current flows through the wire.  A good example would be a 
portable electric heater:  many of them use NiChrome wire as the heating 
element, and the coils glow, of course.  In fact, *any* wire or electric 
conductor will glow if you pass enough current through the wire to heat it 
to about +700C or so.  An example of this is an incandescent light bulb, 
which uses a Tungsten alloy filament wire.
