I want to know how taxonomists distinguish ducks from geese from swan. I believe
that it has to do with each having a different number (or range of) cervical
vertebrae. Something along the lines of ducks 17 and under, geese 18-22 and swan
23 or more. I would like to know the "real" numbers rather than just guessing!
