I'm stumped. How does the color of the organ tell of its function unless you
use the liver as an example. Being dark red it would appear that much blood is
contained within the structure. When looking at the stomach the color really
gives me no clue as to its function. I teach anatomy and physiology; this
question was posed by a student.
