The reason I am asking this question is because I was looking through my 6- inch Dobsonian mounted Newtonian reflector and I spotted a big fuzzy object. I had been looking for the Andromeda Galaxy ( I had followed a star chart) and I came across that big fuzzy object. I wasn't sure if it was M31 because I had never seen a galaxy through my telescope before. So, if you could tell me if a galaxy should look like that or if it was another celestial object, I'd appreciate it! Thank-You! Bye!
Re: With a 6-inch telescope what is the Andromeda Galaxy supposed to look like?
