Arcus Senilis is due to cholesterol and must come from the limbal blood supply.
But why does it appear not against the limbus - but one mm inside the clear
cornea? How does the cholesterol 'jump' the clear gap - and why? I would expect
the cholesterol to diffuse over the whole cornea - but it keeps to a band -
what is the mechanism. Thank you = stephen
