If you use the digital display on a digital camera to look at the digitized image of the sun, I'm betting there is little chance of damage to your eye in that medium. However, is there specific risk to the camera? Is there a simple way to photograph the sun without resorting to some special lense or waiting for the sun to be naturally filtered by the deflecting atmosphere of the sunrise or sunset?
