1 cubic mile is roughly 4168181825.44 cubic meters; 1 cubic meter will hold 
roughly 264.17 gallons.  (According to this web 
site, http://www.rae.org/bits15.htm the volume of the Grand Canyon should be 
over 1500 cubic miles.)
