Sure, it is possible for you to have curly hair if your parents have straight hair. The case of inheritance of curly hair illustrates incomplete dominance. For example, when a curly - haired individual reproduces with a straight haired one, the children have wavy hair. There are many factors that can affect the curliness/straightness of a person's hair. These can include other modifying genes, diet, health, stress level, etc. Therefore, even though your parents appear to have straight hair, they might actually genetically have wavy (slightly curly) hair. It is possible that your two parents have wavy hair (Cc), not straight hair, and therefore could produce children with both straight (cc), wavy (Cc), or curly (CC) hair. In addition, there is some debate among human geneticists about whether the trait of curly hair is controlled by only one gene. In horses, for example, there are at least two "curly" genes, one of which is inherited dominantly and the other in a recessive fashion. If you search google for "curly horse" you will find some excellent descriptions of the genetics of this trait.
