Solutes come in two types, those that dissociate (ionise) in water and 
those that do not.  Glucose belongs to the latter category.
0.3M solutions are ISOTONIC with the mammalian body (did you know that 
virtually mammals have the same strength solution in their cells?).
I am sure that you will already realise that this means that OSMOSIS WILL 
OCCUR EQUALLY INTO AND OUT OF THE CELL (not 'osmosis stops').  The effect 
is that the shape of the blood cells will be unaffected, i.e. you will 
see the cells under the microscope just as they would be in the body.
