I have wondered if it is at all possible for the human race to exhaust
it's resources in reality. If it is, can we mine other planets for these
resources? If so, can we extract oil (ie petroleum) from other planets or
is carbon-based life essential to the production of oil?
If a planet has never sustained life, is it possible for it to produce
and exude oil? If a planet does contain oil, is that a positive indication
that it had sustained a carbon-based life form at some time in it's past?
Can gold be mined from other planets within our solar system, or does the
weight of an element influence where it is located early during the
formation of our solar system?
