Subject: which is better insulator, wood or styrofom

this is for my science project. i think that styrofom is better because one is 
water proof, somewhat noise proof. but i'm not sure and i'm doing some research 
on the different by building a small dog house and seeing if it's better just a 
wooden house or if i insulat it with styrofom in the inside. i would like to 
see with the weather how good is the wood or styrofom.And so that's why i want 
to know if it's wood or styrofom a better insulator.
