Message:
Why do chromosomes uncoil during Telophase I of Meiosis I only to
recoil/condense during Prophase II of Meiosis II?
I had a student ask me and all I could find out was that in some organisms the
chromosomes don't uncoil and Telophase I is skipped over so the cell proceeds
right into Meiosis II.
