When I shine a laser pointer on my daughter's glow-in-dark moon
it glows more brightly where the laser has hit it.

I have heard before that shining a laser on glow-in-dark
material discharges the glow in that area. This is the exact
opposite effect.

For reference my laser is a normal red handheld laser pointer
and the glow-in-dark moon glows with a pale green colour after
being exposed to incandescent light. The material glows with
the same colour but brighter for a few seconds after the laser
has hit it.
