Subject: how do you know when you experience negitive g's

i'm learning to fly and my instructor showed me how to do zero g's 
and pos. g's. when i was recovering from zero g's, my instructor said 
i got some neg. g's i couldn't tell, now pos. g's just force you into 
your seat, what about neg. g's
