Having always had an interest in astronomy I was watching the sky in
my youth and detected a comet - high in the sky. This was by naked
eye as I had no access to a telescope or binoculars. It had a distinct
head and a clear tail and was visible night after night for some time.
This was in Sydney, Australia. As near as I can reconstruct the year
it was in the mid 1930's when I was 14 or 15 years old. My question
is, what was the name of the comet and what details are there about
it?
