A couple of years ago, I got a really bad case of shingles in my
left eye, which left a scar on the cornea. I'm wondering about
the "mechanics" of the virus that caused that to happen. I can
still see out of that eye, although when I look at a light
surrounded by total darkness, the light looks like a partial
eclipse because of the scarring.
