How can 10 year olds measure the distance to the moon?
I'm curious how we would do this today without radar, but possibly through coordination via the Internet. A hasty calculation seems to show that the moon is only 1/2 degree wide in the sky and even with a coast to coast baseline, it is likely that 10 years would not be able to measure the subtended angle.
