How did very distant stars have enough time to come to so far apart. Every now and then one can read statements like "the space telescope have discovered a galaxy some 15 billion light years away meaning the light we recieve now was emitted 15 billion years ago when the age of the universe was 5 billion years old". How could the distance between us and the other galaxy have been so large then unless it had expanded with a speed greater than that of light?
