When an animal, e.g. a human, is exposed to the vaccuum of space, the animal will die. Lack of oxygen is the obvious problem, but also pressure, radiation, etc... I imagine lack of CO2 and water would kill a plant, eventually, but is the death of a plant in space as fast as the death of a human in space? Aside from lack of water and co2, what other problems does a plant encounter? By plant here, I mean of significant size, e.g. a Christmas tree, rather than, say, plankton. Thanks.
