In preparation of chromosomal DNA from E.Coli lysozymes are added to digest
the cellwalls further (they have already been broken up by deepfeezing and
subsequent thawing).Proteinase K is then added and I wonder why; is it to
abort the lysozyme reaction or perhaps to furhter prepare the DNA?
