Subject: Can I dream less?

Hello,
     I am a serious engineering student approaching my third 
year of studies. As I have been getting to the world of advanced 
mathematics and physics, I have noticed my dreams becoming much 
more vivid. I do not believe in the supernatural or anything, so 
we can leave that be, however, some of these dreams are very 
disturbing. I feel that, perhaps if I can better understand what 
is going on inside of my head, these dreams will not disturb me 
so much. I would prefer to not dream at all if my mind can not 
conjure up anything better than it has been giving me. Anything 
you have would be greatly appreciated.
