I teach adult students in seminars basic hazardous materials chemistry. One
issue that seems to come up it whether there is truly a difference between
a chemical that is miscible in water versus soluble. Technically what
happens when a chemical that is 100% soluble is mixed in water versus a
chemical that is miscible mixes with water. Can each still float or sink,
does dilution occur in either one of the situations, if shaking is
performed will something change aftewards. Thanks for any help! Also
examples that can be used in the class would be great!
