My friend and I are betting against her friend that it is more beneficial to watch t.v. with the lights on rather than in the dark. My theory is that your eyes have to adjust more to the range of light that a tv emits in the dark, which, personally, can give me a big headache, as opposed to when the lights are on and the light levels remain relatively constant. This friend that we're betting against supports his side by stating that we watch movies in the dark at a movie theater, so why not tv? I say that there is enough light emitted from the movie at a movie theater because of the size of the screen and the light is more consistent since the movie isn't constantly blacking out due to commercials, change of channels, program, etc.
