Hi, i am in the 6th grade and I need help with my science project. First I
line a glass dish with aluminum foil then I put in pieces of tarnished silver.
Then i sprinkle 1/4 cup of baking soda over that. Next i add 1 cup of boiling
water. Let it sit for several minutes and the tarnish is gone. My question
is, why does this happen?
I would appreciate any help you can give me.
Thank you
