Is there a specific name for a scientist who studies bats, or for the science
of studying bats? Mammologist, or mammology, are more general terms. I have
observed that many scientists who study bats refer instead to the abstract
area of science they are studying, such as ethology or neurology. Names I have
thought of on my own include chiropterologist/-ology and batologist/-ology.
