This may sound simple, or maybe even stupid, but it seems to me that the 
monocule is strictly fashion. I can't see why anyone would only want to use 
one corrective lens. Even if only one eye is a problem eye, it would seem more 
comforable and stylist to have a "regular" set of glasses.
