I have no idea where this question came from. It strikes me as what some would call "an old wives' tale." The scientific term is "coprophagy" (eating feces). I tried some of the on-line search engines and found nothing relevant. I do know that chickens are not very efficient in using the nutrients in their feed, whereby chicken manure is sometimes dried and included in the rations of dairy cattle as a protein supplement. It is harmless in this case, obviously. Clearly, this has nothing to do with monkeys. One blog that came up said that monkeys do not like the smell of chicken manure, but no experimental evidence was cited to support this. Most likely, the best short answer is, "No!" Dean O. Cliver
