I've read about them a bit in a couple places on the 'net and watched a few timelapse videos of them going around; but all the info i've found about keeping them as pets seems to only go as far as saying where to find them. I would like to know what is involved in keeping myxomycetes healthy; i imagine i could start with an empty aquarium that got a good lid, add some things for the envyronment and throw a banana peel or some bread crumbs every few days, but i guess that's probably oversimplifying things; i want it to be healthy, but also grow to the biggest size that would be suitable to the enclosure and stay in the "giant amoeba" phase for as long as it wouldn't harm it, and to move around as often as possible (of course only to the extent that wouldn't harm it). Any advices?
