I know that they presently are in the same family, Homonidae, but should
Homo sapiens and early homonids, such as Homo habilis and Homo Eructus
be in the same family? I am wondering what a modern professional opinion
on the subject would be. I am reading Romethean Fire, By E. O. Wilson
in which he says that Homo Sapiens should be in their own family.
I was wondering if this is still a valid position in modern biology.
