I used 1 mL of HCl in 49 mL of water. Then added 1 drop of NaOH at a time and measured the pH after each drop. It graphed out steady at first then jumped way up and flattered again. I know a buffer caused this, but how does it work and how can I prove it? If this question has alreay been answered, can you please tell me where exactly I can find it. I have looked everywhere. Thank you for your time.
