Some people contend that their hair grows faster during the summer. Is this true, and if so, is the increased growth rate caused by the higher temperatures and / or humidity experenced during the summer? A dentist contends that his facial hair grows faster under his surgical mask. A hair stylist contends his clients' hair grows faster in the summer requiring more frequent visits. Has any research been done on hair growth and heat / moisture?
