No, the answer is no. 1lb of water weighs 1lb in both solid and liquid states.
Your question must be conditional. Do you mean for the same volume of water ?
We all know water expands on solidification and its density decreases accordingly.
Therefore, if we compare the same volume of water and ice, the mass of ice
is indeed smaller than the mass of water.
