From what i have read i have come to beleive that need indicates the physiological need and drive indicates the corresponding psycological state. This differentiation of need and drive suits such basic primary needs such as hunger, thirst. But iam not able to understand how this applies to the social needs such as need for affliation, need for power and need for acheivement. Can we use need and drive interchangebly in case of social needs? Please clarify.
