Subject: How can I make a normal plain paper soft?

I am a paper lover and love to plant trees. I am 12 years old living in TX. I 
have a school project and want to know how I can soften normal A4 size paper.In 
other words I want to make paper softer and smoother can I do this with 
fabricsoftner or is there a better way of making paper soft I need it just to 
feel soft and fold like cloth or if not,just soft.??Please help... Thank You
